The Risk Excellence Awards took place online on Thursday 8th October with hundreds watching from their homes and offices around the world.  The ceremony was hosted by Marc Hogan, an international speaker specialising in influencing and communication skills. After a £1 bet, Marc performed a 21-night, one-man comedy show at the world's largest comedy event - the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  Marc shared his story and his hosting of the event was thoroughly entertaining.

Andy Hawkes, CEO of Cardinus Risk Management, the awards headline sponsor said “Despite a difficult and testing year we’ve seen the best of the safety and risk management industry. The IIRSM Awards showcase this brilliant and innovative group and how they’ve met their challenges. We’re proud to support these fantastic awards, especially during a tough time, and send big congratulations to the wonderful winners across all the categories.

As ever, the standard was high and the competition tough. All finalists should be proud of the hard work they’ve put in this year! A huge thank you goes out to everyone who put time in a busy schedule to apply for the awards and to highlight the good work the industry does. We hope to see you in 2021.”

IIRSM would like to thank its headline sponsor Cardinus Risk Management, and its supporting and awards sponsors Avetta, Barnett Waddingham, healthcare rm, HSE Recruitment Network, Multiplex and PG Mutual.

The 2021 awards are open for entries and the awards ceremony and dinner will take place in London on Thursday 20 May 2020. Please visit www.iirsm.org for more details.
