IIRSM presented an award to His Excellency The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development

The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM)  presented an award to His Excellency The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) in recognition of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to improving occupational safety and health.

IIRSM Chief Executive Phillip Pearson presented the engraved plaque to Eng. Ahmed Bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi on the first day of the Occupational Safety and Health International Conference at Hilton Riyadh Hotel and Residences, in Riyadh.

IIRSM is a global leader in risk and safety management and has a growing network of members in Saudi Arabia. The Institute’s base is in the UK but it has an increasing presence and community across the Middle East and around the world.

At conference, IIRSM representatives also talked to delegates and partners about membership, business partnerships and risk management training.

Mr Pearson said: “We’re delighted to be a part of this conference and have been looking forward to talking to delegates and His Excellency about the great strides Saudi Arabia is making in safety and health, and how IIRSM can work with the Ministry and others to continue this progress.

“We have a growing KSA Branch and I’d encourage anyone interested in risk and safety management in Saudi Arabia to become a IIRSM member and join their local network. We’d love to have you on board.”

KSA Branch co-chair Abdullah Ghamdi said: “We set up the Branch because we wanted to offer support and help our country develop and implement standard safety procedures. This means having like-minded people working together on this through IIRSM and KSA bodies.

“This week’s conference is an excellent platform from which we hope to move forward with safety and health in Saudi Arabia.”

At conference, IIRSM's sessions with Past President Keith Scott on new 'Managing Risk - The Essentials' offer were fully booked.

IIRSM President, Clive Johnson, Keith Scott, CEO Phillip Pearson and KSA Branch co-chair Abdullah Al-Ghamdi were among IIRSM representatives to address the audience at the Hilton Riyadh.

The Institute welcomed many visitors to its stand, where representatives spoke to them about membership, partnerships and our training offer.

And IIRSM presented its KSA Branch co-chairs, Darryl McCabe and Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, with an award in recognition of their support and contribution to risk and safety management.
