The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and SPL Powerlines UK have announced an exciting new partnership.

SPL Powerlines UK is a leading provider of electrical solutions for rail infrastructure, with services including design innovation, surveys, engineering, provision of plant, isolations, construction, and maintenance services for mainline and high-speed markets.

Operating throughout the UK, the business generates a turnover of approximately £140 million in the transport sector.

IIRSM works collaboratively for mutual benefit with a wide network of partners and supporters that share its belief that everyone should be empowered to identify, manage and communicate risk.

Together, the two organisations will collaborate on influencing the risk agenda and raising awareness and standards of risk and safety management.

Chris Hext MIIRSM, SPL Powerlines UK Group Safety & Services Director, said: “Having been a personal member of IIRSM for almost 30 years, I am delighted that my company will partner with IIRSM. This will help develop our teams in the risk and safety management field and give us access to professional support when required, helping to provide health and safety professionals for the future.”

IIRSM Chief Executive Phillip Pearson said: “I’m incredibly pleased to welcome SPL Powerlines to IIRSM’s growing list of partners. I look forward to working with Chris Hext and his team to widen our community of experts and to help support the education of the next generation of risk leaders.”
