IIRSM member magazine, The Sentinel, shortlisted for Association Excellence Awards 2021

IIRSM is delighted to announce that its new member magazine, The Sentinel, has been shortlisted for Best Association Magazine (circulation under 25,000) in this year’s Association Excellence Awards.

The Sentinel was launched in January 2020 and despite being a significant change to the previous member offering, it has been exceptionally well-received by members and stakeholders. with comments such as ‘Worth the membership fee alone” and “It is informative, inspirational and motivating” received.

Providing insight into key risk topics and real-world challenges, we help our readers to understand the way business risks interact and gain insight beyond their own areas of expertise so they can communicate more effectively and break down silos.

The member-led Editorial Panel has been instrumental in deciding on the format, content and journalistic approach and ensure that the magazine plays its role in delivering a key member benefit, as well as attracting new members and technical experts into our network.  In addition, we welcome guest members to every meeting and respond to member feedback regularly in order to continually improve.

The design is fresh and features a range of content from short perspective and interview pieces to a deep dive into an emerging risk topic.  Each issue also includes a Knowledge section with stand-alone technical guidance that provides readers with practical tools for immediate implementation.

The magazine is produced in print and online and is available to members only. 

IIRSM is extremely proud of what The Sentinel has achieved so far and confident that it will continue to innovate and help its members to excel.
