IIRSM and TUI Group have launched a new partnership to enhance risk-based safety management activities

Delivering leisure experiences to 21 million customers worldwide in over 150 destinations, TUI Group is a leading global tourism group offering integrated services from a single source. The entire value chain is covered under one roof. This includes over 400 hotels and resorts and 16 cruise ships. The Group also includes leading tour operator brands and online marketing platforms across Europe, five airlines with more than 130 modern medium and long-haul aircraft and around 1,200 travel agencies.

IIRSM is a UK-based professional membership organisation with a global footprint. We help individuals and organisations around the world to feel safe, supported and empowered to identify and manage risks, protecting their environments and lives.

We aim to drive the holistic evolution of risk management in organisations across the globe, educating and protecting their people through our unique communities. We work together – providing training, knowledge sharing and networks – to support risk and safety professionals.

By collaborating with a variety of organisations, we have developed an unparalleled understanding of the challenges and opportunities they face. Joining our community is an investment in the resilience of your organisation and in the future of your people.

Together, the two organisations will collaborate on developing, implementing, and continuously improving risk-based safety management systems, policies, and procedures.

Paul Austin, Head of Safety and Risk at TUI Group, said: “We have partnered with IIRSM as we are aligned in our commitments to sharing knowledge, developing best practices, and delivering continuous improvement in safety risk management as part of a global community. Membership also ensures we can offer our colleagues the opportunity to have their experience recognised and provide them with personal, professional development and networking opportunities.”

Marc Jordan, Director of Security, Health & Safety at TUI Group said: “We look forward to working in partnership with the IIRSM. As an existing member of the IIRSM, I recognise the benefits membership provides and the opportunities this offers us both.”

IIRSM Chief Executive Phillip Pearson said: “I'm delighted that TUI Group has partnered with IIRSM to help support the development of its team. We look forward to building this into a long and fruitful relationship for both organisations.”
