Nelson Rebello, Regional HSSE Director EMEA, Kent PLC

Nelson is a senior HSSE leader with extensive experience across the oil and gas, petrochemical, power, infrastructure, and construction sectors. As the Regional HSSE Director for the EMEA region, he oversees the majority of the organization’s geographical operations and drives strategic excellence in health, safety, security, and environment.

He is highly skilled in developing and implementing HSSE policies, management systems, and compliance frameworks aligned with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015. A certified Taproot Lead Investigator, Nelson has led numerous incident investigations and strengthened organizational learning through robust root cause analysis.

Nelson is known for decisive leadership, strong stakeholder influence, and the ability to manage multinational teams across all phases of complex onshore and offshore projects. He is committed to building high performing teams, advancing behavior based safety, and leveraging predictive analytics to enhance risk management.

He holds an M.Sc. with Distinction in Occupational Health and Safety, the NEBOSH National Diploma, and the Australian BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety. Nelson is also an internal auditor for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. His professional credentials include CRSP (Canada), Chartered Member of IOSH (UK), and Fellow of IIRSM (UK).
