Overview

Lithium-ion battery fires have unique attributes and are not like other types of fire, therefore education and awareness are key; as is assessing the fire risk they present to your organisation, having an action plan in place to mitigate the risk, and being able to manage the fire event should the worst happen.

This session will delve into the challenges associated with Lithium-ion battery fires and you will gain valuable insights into why they happen and how to prevent, or should the worst happen, contain them using the Firechief® Halo™ 10 Step Battery Safety Plan.

Attendees will:

  • Gain an appreciation of the importance of Lithium-ion batteries in the modern world with the drive towards carbon neutrality and net zero.
  • Understand why a Lithium-ion battery fire takes place and see some examples.
  • Come away with a 10 Step Lithium-ion Battery Safety Plan which can be implemented in their organisation to mitigate their LiB fire risks.
