Overview

This presentation will provide a practical overview of the DSEAR assessment process, looking at the journey of a DSEAR assessment from initial identification of dangerous substances through to assessing risk, hazardous area classification, control measures and ongoing responsibilities.

It will explore the types of dangerous substances and ignition risks commonly found across a wide range of workplaces, what organisations need to consider to remain compliant, and some of the common issues identified during DSEAR assessments. Practical examples will be used throughout to help bring the process to life and demonstrate what a good DSEAR assessment should look like in practice.
