Module Overview

Knowing how to assess and control risk is a critical workplace skill.

This module shows you how to carry out effective, ‘fit for purpose’ risk assessments - and take the right actions to reduce risk to acceptable levels.

You will also learn how to apply the hierarchy of control and create clear, actionable risk treatment plans.

 

Learning Outcomes

In this module, you'll learn:

  • The principles of risk assessments
  • About suitable and sufficient risk assessments
  • The hierarchy of risk control
  • Important concepts such as so far as reasonably practicable and as low as reasonably practicable
  • How to write an action plan.
