Carl Bartlett, Director of Certification Services, Hire Association Europe & Event Hire Association (HAE EHA)

With a career spanning over four decades, Carl leads the SafeHire Private Industry Standard and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) approval certification, helping member organisations achieve the highest standards of health, safety, and quality compliance.

His extensive background combines hands-on electrical engineering, senior hire operations management, and certification governance. Carl spent over ten years on the HAE EHA Technical Health and Safety Committee and is currently a Director with both Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) and the Institute of Testing, Inspection & Certification Professionals (ITICP).

He holds a Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, a NEBOSH NGC3 qualification, and is a CQI/IRCA Certified ISO9001 Lead Auditor. Carl is widely regarded as a practical, authoritative voice on hire industry operations, quality management systems, and health and safety leadership.
