Psychosocial risks such as high job demands, low control, poor support, and workplace conflict, are increasingly recognised as critical factors impacting employee wellbeing, engagement, and organisational performance. Yet many organisations continue to rely on reactive or individual-focused interventions that fail to address root causes.

This interactive session introduces a fresh, structured approach to adapting the Hierarchy of Control framework to the context of psychosocial hazards. Participants will explore how to move beyond awareness and wellbeing initiatives, toward designing work environments that systematically reduce psychosocial hazards at their source.

Through practical examples and guided reflection, this session demonstrates how organisations can take a more proactive, holistic approach prioritizing organisational, and system-level controls while appropriately supporting team, and individual-level strategies, to create safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces.
