Overview:

Advances in technology, emerging social trends and, of course, the ongoing instability in geopolitics continues to give rise to ever more complex emerging risks. In this webinar, we will introduce a practical framework and a range of practical tools that can help organisations navigate across this rising tide of emerging risks.

Attendees will learn how to use the framework as part of a risk management programme. Will learn how to use the framework alongside scenario analysis and horizon scanning. Will leave understanding why behaviour assessment needs to feature in the assessment of emerging risk and learn how to map the dynamic influences that determine when emerging risk events may occur.

With an engineering, research and consultancy background, Keith has broad experience working with and implementing innovative approaches to risk. He remains practical in his approach and is a firm believer in using insight drawn from risk management as a tool to underpin strategic, tactical and operational decision making.

A former Non-Exec Director and Audit committee member of the Institute of Risk Management (IRM), Keith continues to play a part in the development of risk management as a profession. He has contributed thought leadership to several leading publications, including IRM works and book chapters on risk-based decision making.

Keith is a senior risk consultant with Barnett-Waddingham, chair of the BSI Committee on emerging risk, a member of the BSI committee on resilience and an expert for the UK on the International Organisation for Standardisation WG10 group set up to review ISO 31000.
