FCC Environment UK are one of the largest Waste Management companies operating within the UK. The Company operates some 200+ sites of varying business functionality from domestic / municipal collections, HWRC’s, MRF’s, Transfer Stations, Landfill, Quarries, Liquid Waste Treatment and Energy from Waste facilities.

Over the course of the last decade, FCC Environment UK have invested significantly in improving the Safety Culture of the organisation, with the ultimate aim of providing a safer workplace for all. This has included the introduction of an RFID Proximity Warning System designed to maintain safety between moving plant and vehicles, the implementation of a bespoke Behavioural-Based Safety Process and the establishing of a robust Integrated Management System and Auditing regime.

FCC Environment UK are two-time recipients of the British Safety Council’s Five-Star Audit and Sword of Honour 2017 and 2020. Adding to these awards in 2021 FCC Environment UK received the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) Barry Holt Award for Outstanding Risk Management Practice. With their own Head of Safety Health Environment & Quality SHEQ receiving a IIRSM Presidents Commendation in the same year.
