DFDS UK and Ireland comprises ferry, logistics, cold chain transport, passenger and Channel shoreside. The DFDS group was founded in 1866. Listed on the Danish stock exchange, its HQ is in Copenhagen. It has 10,000 employees in 21 countries. DFDS Seaways Immingham is based at a 175-acre, rail connected site, with seven berths and 10 warehouses. There are 35 weekly sailings. 520 employees are based there. Immingham and Grimsby is the UK’s largest port by tonnage (59m tonnes imported each year) and is the fourth busiest port in Europe. A four-hour drive from the River Humber (where Immingham sits) gives access to 40m people and 75% of UK manufacturing.
