Our volunteer network
IIRSM is fortunate to have a network of volunteers working around the world to support members and drive forward our strategy.
Volunteering is a great way to learn, build confidence, make new contacts and give back. There are many and varied ways of getting involved, from supporting initiatives such as our Mentoring Scheme or Emerging Risk Leaders' Network, to participating in panels and working groups.
Our international Branches and UK Regional Networks are entirely run by volunteers - you can find out more about them here.
"Volunteering with IIRSM is so much more than helping out! As well as supporting the creation of a distinctive and relevant risk and safety professional body, I’ve learned a great deal from other volunteers, made some great business connections and probably lengthened my own lifespan from all the fun I’ve had making new friends.
This is seriously a great bunch of people – until you step over that line, you’ll never know what you’re missing." Steve Fowler, Chair of Content and Editorial Panel
