South Wales Safety Group Alliance Conference - Working Together for Safety, Health and Wellbeing
Date of Issue: Tuesday, 5 January, 2016
An alliance has been formed between the Wales Branch IIRSM, South Wales Branch IOSH, South Wales Construction Safety Group, Cardiff & South East Wales Occupational Health & Safety Group and Swansea & West Wales Occupational Safety Group. The Strategic Aim of this alliance is to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of all employees and others in South Wales. A holistic approach will be taken.
This will be achieved by organising low cost or free conferences, seminars, meetings and courses for members. Officers of the groups will meet at regular intervals to organise events, discuss other projects and to report on progress.
The Alliance will also initiate partnerships with appropriate bodies such as the HSE, Local Authorities, Fire Services, Welsh Assembly Government and the National Health Service.
The South Wales Safety Groups Alliance Inaugural Conference will take place on the 13th April in Cardiff. The conference includes a Presidential address by Siobhan Donnelly, IIRSM President and a session on Risk Assessments by Clive Johnson, IIRSM Council Member.
This conference is the first step in achieving the long term strategic goal. More information and a booking form can be found in the brochure provided on the branch page here or email Steve Bergiers: steve.bergiers@hotmail.co.uk
