New member magazine coming soon
Date of Issue: Wednesday, 18 September, 2019
The team here at IIRSM understand access to high quality content is an important part of your membership and that keeping you up-to-date with the latest news and opinion, and providing access to technical information, is part of our role as your professional body.
We are therefore delighted to announce that we have exciting plans to launch a new magazine in January 2020, as part of an overall review of how we deliver topical content to you. The new magazine will be bigger, meaning we can include more member news, views and opinions, best practice case studies, technical reports and research, alongside commentary on topical issues affecting risk and safety management across all sectors and roles. We will work closely with members and partners to provide a resource that truly reflects the opinions and professional needs of our diverse membership network. In the meantime, you will continue to receive Insight in its current format until the end of this year.
In tandem, we are working with our friends and partners to provide access to resources and information via our website, continuing to develop the Info Hub, and improving the eNewsletter launched earlier this year, to keep you updated with news and opinion on a regular basis.
Health and Safety at Work magazine
IIRSM has enjoyed a long and productive partnership with Health and Safety at Work magazine since 2006.
However, this magazine will cease production shortly and the October issue will be the final one. This will be distributed to our members in the last week of September 2019 as normal. The website www.healthandsafetyatwork.com will close on 31 October 2019.
We would like to thank all those we have worked with at LexisNexis, publishers of the magazine, over the years for their support and wish each of them every success for the future as they focus on their core market of tax and legal.
Have your say or get involved
We are keen to learn more about the kind of content you wish to receive from us and your preferences for receiving this and welcome your views. You will shortly receive a member value survey which will feed into our plans for communications overall. This is a great opportunity to be involved in a positive step forward for the Institute, so please do take the time to give us your thoughts. In the meantime, you are welcome to email me with ideas and comments.
A new Content and Editorial Panel will be responsible for advising on the technical and thought leadership content to be shared with members across all formats. The panel will be responsible for:
• agreeing themes and content for each issue of the magazine;
• industry and professional insights and guidance;
• helping to coordinate member opinion and Institute positions on current and emerging issues;
• developing topics for round table events and technical research.
Members who wish to get involved should contact Clare Fleming.
