The South East branch covers a wide geographical area, where most members tend to live in Kent and work in London or live in the more outer regions of the metropolitan district and work in Kent. This makes for a difficult and somewhat complex decision making for the branch committee: where to hold the branch meetings, never mind deciding on a subject!

After much deliberation and searching we found a venue about halfway between the two most distant points of our region, in Swanley. Set in prime green belt countryside overlooking a bowling green, it was certainly a great venue. We were fortunate that IIRSM deputy chief executive Greg Brown joined us to give an informative presentation on the new CDM 2015 regulations.

Attendance was good at this first venue with each of the attendees raising questions on the changes to the construction legislation.
