IIRSM have appointed Greg Brown BSc(Hons) DSH; CMIOSH; RMaPS; Hon FaPS as their new Director of Membership and Business Development.

Greg graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Health and Safety from Aston University and from a former full time NHS Safety Adviser and HSE Inspector he was then a health and safety consultant between 1992 and 2009.

His first private practice with 10 employees led to his own consultancy company specialising in construction (Planning Supervision, CDM Co-ordination and asbestos surveying) as well as training, systems auditing and general health and safety. Before joining IIRSM Greg was Head of Membership and Practice for the Association for Project Safety (APS), the leading construction health and safety membership body in the UK.

Helping people to be competent and confident, and contribute to improvements in health and safety risk management is a key driver whether through guidance, products and services or face-to-face networking.
