Clive Johnson

Clive is Deputy President-Elect of IIRSM.

He is currently employed by Landsec as their Group Head of Health & Safety ensuring H&S compliance across a property portfolio, which includes Shopping Centres, Retail Parks, Residential and Development Projects. During the previous 12 years, Clive has been HS&E Manager for Asda Wall*Mart and HS&E Leader for BAA on the Terminal 5 Project.

Clive is an active member of CONIAC (Construction Industry Advisory Committee) Member representing (CCG) and also Chairman of Construction Clients Group (CCG), Committee Member of Strategic H&S Forum for Construction, Chairman of NSCC National Specialist Contractors Council Health & Safety Committee and has a seat on the Editorial Panel for the C.I.P (Construction Industry Publications) Health & Safety Manual – the Blue Book. Recently involved in a working group for the development of a new Guidance Document for the Retail Sector entitled “The management of asbestos containing materials in the retail sector”, Clive also chairs the CONIAC Client Working Group developing Client Guidance document.

Clive is now driving the health agenda mandating Occupational Health provision on all Land Security development projects and chairs the Construction Industry Health Task Group made up of like-minded Clients.  

Wayne Smyth

Wayne is a senior manager with 25 years experience at National Grid, in strategical developing and implementing programmes and projects on time and on budget either within a SHE or a property management role for FTSE 100 companies . His role focuses on delivering world class safety management consistently and align that with high quality health and environmental programmes.
