Karla is a risk, business continuity and crisis management specialist. Throughout her career, Karla has dealt with complex subjects that can challenge people's core beliefs and behaviours, such as responding to a global cyber attack, terrorist attacks in various jurisdictions, as well as localised emergencies. 

Applying experiential and commercial knowledge and understanding how people might behave in such extreme circumstances has been invaluable to responding to such incidents. Karla believes that identifying and understanding complex interrelationships between various risks is essential to an effective enterprise-wide approach to risk management in a global business environment. Karla has previously held roles in knowledge management, compliance and communications. She is a Fellow of the IIRSM, an Associate Member of the Business Continuity Institute (AMBCI), a Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management (CMIRM) and a Member of Airmic and Parima.
