Gaining an understanding of the risks that an organisation, function or project faces can sometimes be a challenge. We may find that an organisation, function or project team confuses risks with current issues or may focus only on internal risks,
In this practical virtual course, we look at ways in which a risk register can be created using a facilitated workshop for the organisation as a whole, a specific function or a large project. We introduce the topic with a short overview to help set the scene on why risk is important and to explain the benefits of understanding the risks and their impact on an organisation. We then identify the relevant stakeholders that should be involved in these workshops. Through role play, we then run a short workshop and include tips and techniques for managing a virtual workshop as well, and finally conclude with how to collate information and share next steps and actions.
