Jim Leahy, Senior Health and Safety Manager and Technical Director of RPS Consulting Engineers

Jim is the Senior Health and Safety Manager and Technical Director of RPS and specialising in Health and Safety Functions of Client, Designer and Contractor as well as day to day safety management.

Jim has been involved over 38 years in many construction projects, particularly in the role of PSDP. These projects have covered a broad spectrum of construction projects including housing, roads, bridges, rail, land remediation, water and wastewater treatment, pipelines, gas, public realm, Flooding and windfarms

 He is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health and a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland

Jim is a recent Chairperson of Engineers Ireland (Cork branch) and is currently acting as Treasurer of the branch

Jim is the sole lecturer on the City & Guilds approved course on the role of the PSDP & the Design Risk Assessment Course provided by the Construction Industry Federation,

Jim is a Member of Joint ‘Association of Consulting Engineers Ireland / Engineers Ireland’ Health and Safety National Committee. He is a Representative on the Construction Safety Partnership Advisory Committee (CSPAC).
