South & West Wales Safety Group's seminar on Noise and Vibration

The South and West Wales Safety Group is holding its Alec Blackburn seminar, held in conjunction with Castle Group and entitled Demystifying Noise and Vibration in the Workplace on Wednesday 25th June in Swansea.com (formerly Liberty) Stadium, Swansea SA1 2FA. Cost is £85 for safety group members and £100 for non-members. More details can be found here. 

The bulk of the day will be spent getting you up to speed with the requirements of the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 and the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 with an overview of the regulations, an insight into the fundamentals of noise and vibration, a look at measurement and monitoring, followed by a foray into the world of measuring and controlling exposure. There are practical elements of the day where you can try out Castle’s products or bring your own along (no matter the make or model) to learn the best method of use.

We will end the day with a brief insight into the world of electromagnetic radiation, its effects, the likelihood of exposure and what controls you should have in place.
