Site Tour - Climax Molybdenum UK Ltd
Climax Molybdenum UK Ltd (CMUK) are pleased to host the next Suffolk branch meeting of the IIRSM.
Ore mined from our North American mines is processed into Mo, MoO2 and MoO3 at sister sites in Iowa and Rotterdam before being distributed to us at CMUK for conversion to Ferro-Molybdenum, a metal used throughout the steel industry.
We are a unique business being one of only two in Europe and the only UK based producer.
We intend on giving a plant tour during the meeting so members have the opportunity to observe our process this however means branch member attendance will unfortunately have to be restricted to 12 (on a first registered basis and must be over the age of 18).
We are a heavy engineered and chemical reaction site and therefore attendee's welfare is our highest priority, as such mandatory PPE is required in operational areas. We are able to assist with hard hats, eye protection and high visibility tabbards but you will be required to provide your own safety footwear (in good condition) in order to participate in the plant tour.
Please note our process is commercially confidential therefore any participants working within competitior industries or metal sales industries will not be able to join the plant tour; photographs or the collection of other form of images is not permitted.

Please also notify us in your registration email if you have any mobility issues, or other vulnerability including special dietary requirements, which may require further assistance or arrangements on the day, so that we may make suitable arrangements in advance.
