The
Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
is
consulting on proposed changes to the approved workplace
poster that provides basic health and safety information for
employees.
Under the
Health and Safety Information for Employees Regulations 1989,
employers must display a copy of the poster or give employees an
approved leaflet. But a recent review found the poster was
visually "unappealing", employees rarely read it and it was
difficult to understand, particularly for people with visual
and/or learning difficulties or poor English skills.
IIRSM would
like to hear from members regarding these proposals to the
workplace poster. Please email
your responses to info@iirsm.org
