IIRSM Member Visits Offices - January 2006

Paul Duro Ajisafe MIIRSM (pictured above), who has been a full member of the IIRSM since 2002 recently visited the Institute while on a business trip to the UK and US. Mr Ajisafe is the Fire, Safety and Environment Manager for Nigerian Oil and Gas Company.

As a senior health and safety person in his company, Mr Ajisafe has established various initiatives to raise the awareness and profile of health and safety. Employees are rewarded for taking the issues around safety seriously.

Mr Ajisafe stated 'Safety is for all of us. I make people around of me aware of it, both my colleagues and family.'  He went on to say, 'The monthly newsletter and magazine are great benefits of being a member and raise safety consciousness and awareness.'
